'I think she has some real potential with her unique style and hard working attitude to make a real impact in the Country Music scene.' - Catherine Britt”

Debut Album 'Yes girl' 17/7/20

From a van on a beach in Newcastle to the middle of the Australian desert, to the streets of New  York. Saying ‘Yes’ has taken Arna Georgia on a journey or two. It’s lead to some very interesting  stories, some very important lessons and of course… a whole bunch of brand new music.

‘YES GIRL’ is the second release for Sydney based country music singer Arna Georgia, and is her  first full length album, featuring 10 tracks that share the roller coaster ride of taking risks and new  experiences.

The album was recorded at Troubadour House Studios in Nashville, Tennessee with Australian  producer Nash Chambers (Kasey Chambers, Jamie McDell, Adam Harvey) and an absolute all star  band including Jedd Hughes on Mandolin, Acoustic, Resonator and Electric guitars, Tony Lucido  on Bass, Jerry Roe on drums and Catherine Britt, Camille French and Sam Hawksley on Backing  Vocals. Dan Dugmore brought the country twang magic with pedal steel and Banjo, the one piano  track on the album is played by the incredible Jimmi Wallace and there’s always room for an irish,  beer drinking pub song in which the tin whistle was played by Pelle Soderström.

With the roots of traditional country music and a more commercial production, this lyric based  album is for the travellers, the heartbroken and the down right crazy. Songs like “Passing Through”  and “Story for the Kids” have become the essence of the album, talking of the ups, the downs and  the magic of saying yes, and the sporadic, crazy nature of living life on the road.  Nostalgia is felt in ‘1998’ telling the story of growing up with a crazy greek grandmother and ‘Truth’,  ‘Holding on to never letting go’ and ‘Change’ share a raw understanding of love and heartache that  everyone can relate to. The album is tied together with ‘Two More Bottles of Wine’ a Delbert  McClinton cover, and of course, no Arna Georgia release can go without a song about being single,  with “All My Married Friends” written with Australian country artist Catherine Britt being a beer  drinking, Irish pub song everyone can get in to.

“ Arna Georgia is different, the kind of different Australian country music needs right now. Hemusic  has substance and sincerity, she is a great live entertainer, and story teller, and there’s no body  else producing music like Arna Georgia’s ‘Yes Girl’ Album right now, and that’s a great thing!”  - Amber Lawrence.
